Let's face facts. I'm a compulsive writer. Over the years, I've written a number of books -- I think 28 was the last count, not counting an unnumbered collection of false starts. Sold? None of them. Why? Oh, there's a number of reasons. For one, I'm not real good at dealing with rejection. Let's face it, I've written these books for my own pleasure. I explained it this way one time: "Say I go out and buy a new Tom Clancy. That's around thirty bucks. I'm a fast readers, so I can blow through it in two nights. Then, I'm out thirty bucks and have to find something else to do. When I write my own book, it only costs me the electricity for the computer, lasts for weeks, and I still don't know how it's going to come out in the end." Only a handful of people have ever read any of these books. Usually I get a pretty positive response, but I'm usually getting it from people that really can't give me useful feedback. The last few I haven't even bothered to show to anyone, and some of them are the best I've ever done -- at least I think so. But I'm tired of letting these gather dust. Readers might find some of them interesting or amusing, or whatever it takes to be worth their time. I'm not oblivious to the fact that putting these online might generate some interest in some of my newer, and I think better works. (If you're a publisher or representative, please contact me. Please! Pretty please!!) But primarily I'm putting these up so others can read and enjoy them, and all I'm really asking in return is an e-mail thanking me, giving me some feedback, and telling me what you think. I retain full copyright to these works under creative commons, so please do not repost these stories elsewhere without permission.On the other hand, links to the main page are welcome.
